Refunds

Refunds are between the shop and the buyer.

Last updated August 28, 2026

Who refunds whom

If something is wrong with an item, pickup, or a shipment, talk to the shop that sold it. Refunds are handled between the shop and the buyer. That shop refunds you for the item, tax, and shipping.

What the platform keeps

The 5% platform fee (minimum $1) is not refunded. The shop refunds the buyer; the platform keeps that fee. The card processing fee is what Stripe charged to run the payment — we do not promise to return it.

No auto-relist

A refunded item is marked refunded. We do not auto-relist it and we do not restock quantity. The shop can photograph and list it again if they still have it, with a real price — we will not invent one.

How a shop issues a refund

Shops use the owner desk. The buyer should hear from the shop. If you cannot reach the shop, write support@shelftonight.com and we will look at what the software shows. We still cannot invent a refund the shop has not made.
