Pickup vs ship
Pickup in the shop’s town has no shipping charge. If an item ships, you pay shipping on that item at checkout. There is no cart — one item at a time. The shop is the sender.
The shop is the sender
The shop’s name and street from shop settings print as USPS From/Return on the packing slip and the postage label. You are To. Shippo, when used, is how postage is bought — it is not the name on the label.
What you pay for ship items
On ship items the buyer pays shipping as quoted. Live shops quote USPS Ground Advantage and Priority from Rates. If Rates has no option, we do not invent postage — pickup may still be available.
Payout hold on ship-to
On a ship-to order the buyer is charged as usual. The shop’s money (item + tax + shipping) is held until the carrier’s first scan (USPS Ground Advantage or Priority, Shippo tracking). Pickup is not held for a mail scan. We do not invent a scan. If it never ships, that hold is not paid out and a refund of item + tax + shipping stays possible. The 5% platform fee is not refunded.
Packing slips and labels
The shop downloads or prints the packing slip and postage label from the shop desk, not from the public page. If ship-from is incomplete, we do not buy a label.
